Frequency Excitation Set dialog box

Use these options to create a frequency excitation set and its excitation function. You can optionally create and assign the load set for this excitation set.

Name
Name Specifies the displayed name for the excitation set.
Label Sets a numeric label for the excitation set.
Description
Description Lets you enter a description for the excitation set.You can also Cut , Copy , and Paste text.
Load Set
Appears when you are creating a new frequency excitation set.
Automatic Creation Controls how to add a load set to a Frequency Excitation Set.Automatic Creation Creates an empty Load Set (General) and adds it to the Frequency Excitation Set.Automatic Creation Lets you choose a load set from the list or None to create your own, empty Load Set (General). You can name it and enter a description text.
Load Set Available when the Automatic Creation check box is cleared.Specifies the load set to assign to this frequency excitation set.To create a new load set, click Load Set .
Excitation
Excitation Field Specifies how the excitation is defined.Real/ImaginaryLets you define the excitation as a complex number with real and imaginary components.Magnitude/PhaseLets you define the excitation as a complex number with magnitude and phase angle.FieldLets you define the excitation from a field.
Specify Field Appears when Excitation Field is set to Field.Lets you select or define a complex field.
These options appear when Excitation Field is set to Real/Imaginary.
Real Sets the real component of the magnitude of the excitation.
Imaginary Sets the imaginary component of the magnitude of the excitation.
These options appear when Excitation Field is set to Magnitude/Phase.
Magnitude Sets the magnitude of the excitation.
Phase Sets the phase angle of the excitation.
Phase
Phase Shifts the load with respect to the excitation law in the frequency excitation set. For example, when you use the same excitation law in two different frequency excitation sets, you can use this field to shift the phase of one of those sets.
Cyclic Symmetry
Function Sets a function that describes the tangential evolution of the load. The X-axis is defined in degrees from 0 to 360. For more information, see the FSC parameter of the Samcef .SOD command. For information on setting the magnitude, see Additional magnitude options.
