Constrained Nodal Rigid Body Optional (LS-DYNA)
| Modeling Object | |
|---|---|
| Name | Specifies the name of the modeling object. |
| Label | Specifies a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Keyword Option | Controls how to define the nodal rigid body.SPCConstrains the center of mass of the nodal rigid body.InertiaLets you define the inertial properties rather than having LS-DYNA compute them.NoneLets you define the nodal rigid body without specifying additional options. |
| Print Flag (IPRT) | Controls whether the software writes data to the ASCII Rigid Body Data Output file (RBDOUT). |
| **Optional Node for Output Data (PNODE)**Select Node | Lets you specify an optional node at the center of the nodal rigid body. In the output files, the coordinates, accelerations, velocities, and displacements of this node correspond to the mass center of the nodal rigid body. |
| Card 2Available if Keyword Option is set to SPC | |
| Center of mass constraint option (CMO) | Controls whether the constraint applies in local or global directions. |
| **Displacement constraint parameter (CON1)**Rotational constraint parameter (CON2) | Lets you specify the first and second constraint parameters. These define the translational and rotational directions in which you want to constrain the nodal rigid body, such as Y and Z. |
| Card 3Available if Keyword Option is set to Inertia | |
| Translational mass (TM) | Lets you specify the translational mass value. |
| Inertia reference coordinate system (IRCS) | Controls how you define the reference coordinate system for inertia.(0) Global inertia tensorSpecifies the global coordinate system.(1) Local inertia tensorLets you define the orientation by specifying two vectors or a local coordinate system. |
| **Rigid Body at Center of Gravity (Card 3)**Options available if Keyword Option is set to Inertia | |
| Define by selecting | Controls how you specify the center of gravity for the rigid body.**A point (XC, YC, ZX)**Lets you select a point to define the center of gravity.**A node (NODEID)**Lets you select a node to define the center of gravity. |
| Select Point Select Node | Lets you select a point or node as the center of gravity. |
| Components of Inertia Tensor (Card 4) | |
| IXX, IXY, IZZ****IYY, IYZ, IZZ | Lets you specify the components of the inertia tensor. |
| Rigid Body Initial Velocity (Card 5) | |
| X Translational (VTX), Y Translational (VTY), **Z Translational (VTZ)**X Rotational (VRX), Y Rotational (VRY), Z Rotational (VRZ) | Lets you specify the initial translational and rotational velocities in the x, y, and z directions in the global coordinate system. |
| **Local Inertia Tensor (Card 6)**Available if Keyword Option is set to Inertia and Inertia reference coordinate system is set to (1) Local inertia tensor | |
| Orientation defined by | Lets you specify how to define the orientation for the local inertia tensor.2 vectors****Coordinate system |
| Specify Vector Local coordinate system (CID2) | Depending on the option you select from the Orientation defined by list, lets you select two vectors or a coordinate system to define the orientation. |
