Define an edge-to-edge contact (Abaqus Dynamic Explicit)

In an Abaqus Dynamic Explicit solution, you can define an edge-to-edge contact by specifying the surface regions.

1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Edge to Edge Contact .

2. In the Surface Pair group, select the first and second surface regions, or click Create Region to create a new surface region.

3. In the Contact Pair group, select or create a Contact Property modeling object to define non-standard properties for the specified regions of the contact. For more information, see Defining contact properties (Abaqus Dynamic Explicit analyses).

4. Click OK.
