Combine two triangular elements into a quadrilateral element

  1. Click Combine Triangles .

  2. In the First Element group, click and select the first triangular element to combine.

  3. In the Second Element group, click and select the second triangular element to combine. This element must be adjacent to the first element you selected.

  4. Click Apply or OK.

  5. Choose Nodes and Elements tab→Nodes group→Delete Node to manually delete any extra nodes left over from combining the elements before you solve your model.
