Open Duct Mesh dialog box

Selection
Select Element Edges	Lets you select the 2D element edges that define the open end of the duct.Note: The element edges that you select must define a fully closed loop that lies in a plane.
Element Properties
Element Size	Lets you specify the size of the elements to create for the mesh at the end of the duct.To specify the element size as a function of frequency, click the DesignLogic list and select Function to use the SizeForAcoustics function. For more information, see Element size for acoustic analysis.
Automatic Element Size	Examines the element size of the selected mesh and calculates an estimated size value. The Element Size box updates to show this value.Note: Automatic Element Size also calculates the appropriate default values for the settings in the Options group.
Options
Fold Back Distance	Lets you specify how far the open duct mesh folds back over the duct. This distance is the distance between the center of gravity of the input ring and the last node on the duct mesh.Note: This value must be greater than or equal to the Open Duct Surface Radius value.
Fold Back Radius as % of Duct Radius	Lets you specify the radius for the portion of the open duct mesh that folds back over the duct.Note: This value must be greater than or equal to 100%.
Open Duct Surface Radius	Lets you specify the overall radius of the open duct mesh.Surface radius of 50mmSurface radius of 60mm			Surface radius of 50mm	Surface radius of 60mm
Surface radius of 50mm	Surface radius of 60mm
Flip Direction	Controls the direction in which to create the open duct mesh.Note: The arrow must point towards the exterior of the duct.
Destination Collector/Mesh
Automatic Creation	Controls the creation of a mesh collector.Select the Automatic Creation check box to automatically create a new destination collector for the mesh. If you select this option, the software creates a collector using the default physical properties and inherits the material properties of the idealized part.Clear the Automatic Creation check box to choose an existing mesh collector from the Mesh Collector list.
Mesh Collector	Lets you select an existing collector. Click New Collector to use the Mesh Collector dialog box to create additional mesh collectors. See Mesh collectors for more information.
Preview
Show Result	Click Show Result to preview the mesh based on your current selections.
