Structural output requests dialog boxes (Simcenter Samcef)

Use this dialog box to request structural output for the following structural analysis types:

  • Linear

  • Modal

  • Buckling

  • Nonlinear

  • Dynamic Response

The available options vary depending on the analysis type.

Modeling Object
Name Sets the name of the modeling object.
Label Sets a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object.
Properties
Description Enter a brief description or click to open a text editor where you can enter a longer description.
Preview Opens an information window where you can examine all current output requests and their options.
Enable All Selects all output requests.
Disable All Clears all output requests.
Output request options
Enable check boxes Outputs the corresponding result.
Location If you select shells as support for the result, use the Location list to choose between the Midplane, the Lower Skin, the Upper Skin or All positions in shells elements: BottomOnly select the lower skin version of the result.TopOnly select the upper skin version of the result.MiddleOnly select the midplane version of the result.AllSelect all the positions in the shell.For other elements types, set the Location list to All.
Type Specifies the output. ElementOnly select the element version of the result.Element NodalOnly select the element-nodal version of the result.AllSelect both versions
Critical Values (Composite Criteria) Specifies critical data output for the given result. You can add the extra result for the Critical Ply, you can add the Critical Ply Id number result, you can add them All, or you can exclude all these critical outputs (None).
Entity Select Structure if the result applies to the whole model.Select Group if you want to apply the result to a selection of FEM entities.
Group Reference Appears when Entity is set to Group.Lets you use a group. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select FEM entities. The type of objects you can select depends upon your selected result.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can apply multiple smart selector methods simultaneously.For more information, see Stacked smart selector methods.
