Nastran environment > Load case filtering
Load case filtering results
Load case filtering results are displayed as follows:
In tabular form in the Load Filtering Results dialog box
In annotations
In the calculation log
In a .csv file
Results table
In the Load Case Filtering Results dialog box, you can refine the results that are displayed and how they are displayed in the Load Case Filtering table. To do so, you have the following options:
Filter the table
Find items in the table
Clear the contents of the table
Fit the width of a column to the text in the column
Control the columns that are displayed and the order in which they appearThe columns that you can display include columns for number of filtered load cases, the number of possible filtered load cases, and the load case set.
To access these options, in the Load Case Filtering table, right-click the heading of the column that contains the data you want to manipulate.
Distribution table
In the Load Case Filtering Results dialog box, the Load Case distribution table displays the union of the critical load case sets from the filtered calculations.
You can refine the display of filtered load cases in the distribution table. Select the Hide calculations corresponding to unselected load cases from 3D View check box to hide annotations for calculations that do not include load cases that are currently selected in the distribution table.
You can create a new load case set from a selection of results in the distribution table. Doing so allows you to use that load case set in a new load case filtering calculation or in a margin of safety calculation. For more information, see Create a load case set from load case filtering results.
Annotations
You create annotations when you create calculations. The annotations appear in the graphics window. After the calculation is solved, the load case filtering result for the calculation automatically appears in the annotation.
To hide an annotation, you can:
In the Simulation Navigator, deselect the check box next to the calculation you want to hide.
In the graphics window, right-click the annotation and choose Hide .
To display a hidden annotation, in the Simulation Navigator, select the check box next to the calculation you want to display.
Calculation log
You can view the results for a specific calculation in the calculation log. The calculation log displays:
The units of the load case filtering solution
The names of the method, calculation, and load case set
The number of load cases
Each load case and the result of whether it was selected or not
The number of matching load cases
.csv file
You can view the results for a specific calculation in a .csv file. When you solve a calculation, the software creates a .csv file and stores it in the same location where your simulation file is saved.
The .csv file contains:
Units for the X and Y coordinates.
XY coordinates of each load point from a load case in a 1D or 2D space. In the case of a 1D method, the Y-coordinate column contains zeroes as the value for all load points.
XY coordinates for the method, which forms the boundary of all load points, and the tolerance.
The criticality for each load point. If the value in the criticality column is less than the specified tolerance, then the load case is selected.
