Modify the properties of multiple meshes

You can use the Filter option in the Mesh Associated Data dialog box to edit the mesh associated data for all meshes of a particular type. This is useful, for example, when you want to change the Thickness Source to Midsurface for all 2D meshes in your model.

  1. Choose Home tab→Properties group→Mesh Associated Data .

  2. From the Filter list, select the type of mesh to edit. For example, to edit the mesh associated data for all 2D meshes in the model, select 2D Mesh.

  3. In the graphics window, lasso select the entire model. All meshes of the Filter type are selected.

  4. Make any desired changes to the mesh associated data. The software only updates the properties that you modify. For example, if you change the Thickness Source but do not change the Shell Offset value, the software only applies the new Thickness Source setting to the selected meshes.

  5. Click OK to close the Mesh Associated Data dialog box.
