Connection Import dialog box

| Select file to import | Type the path and name of the file you want to import, or click Browse to open the File to import dialog box where you can navigate to the file you want. |
| Input File Units | |
| Use input file unit if available | Determines which units you want the software to use when the file is imported. Use input file unit if available Uses the units in the xMCF file. If a unit is missing in the xMCF file, the software uses the units you specify in this dialog box. Use input file unit if available Uses only the units you specify in this dialog box. |
| Units (Force)(Length)(Mass) | Specifies the units for force, length, and mass that you want to use for the connections in the file that you are importing. The software uses these units depending on how you set the Use input file unit if available check box. |
| Time | Specifies the time unit that you want to use for the connections in the file that you are importing. The software uses the unit depending on how you set the Use input file unit if available check box. |
| Torque | Specifies the torque unit of newton meters in the file that you are importing. The software uses the unit depending on how you set the Use input file unit if available check box. |
| Angle | Specifies the angle unit that you want to use for the connections in the file that you are importing. The software uses the unit depending on how you set the Use input file unit if available check box. |
| Destination Folder | Specifies the folder in the Universal Connections container where you want to place the imported connections.Select from the list, or click Select Folder to open the Folder Selector dialog box. |
| Spot Weld | |
| Height Type | Specifies how you want to define the height in the universal spot weld connection that is created during the import.User DefinedSets the spot weld height to the value you specify. In the Spot Weld Connection dialog box, on the Physicals page, the Height Type is set to User Defined. Mean of Flange ThicknessIn the Spot Weld Connection dialog box, on the Physicals page, the Height Type is set to Mean Of Flanges Thickness. |
| Height | Available when Height Type is set to User Defined.Sets the spot weld height. |
| Use input file material if available | Available when an import file has been specified for Select file to importUses the material specified in the imported file when creating the universal spot weld connection. |
| Material | Specifies the material to assign the universal spot weld connection during the import. |
| Search Tolerance | Sets the distance the software uses when searching for a valid combination of existing elements, such as CHEXA + RBE3 spider(s), RBE2 + RBE2 spider(s), CBAR + RBE2 spider(s), or CBEAM + RBE2 spider(s), to associate with the imported spot weld connection if the connection contains locations that are offset. |
