Edit Discrete Values dialog box

Discrete Values
Discrete Values Sets a list of at least two unique comma-separated names. The names are not case-sensitive unless Entity Type is set to Mesh on the preceding dialog box. For example, if Entity Type is set to Polygon Face, Force and FORCE are considered the same name. If Entity Type is set to Mesh, Force and FORCE are considered unique names. An entity must have one of the listed names in order to be selected using this strategy. For example, if the strategy is set up to select polygon faces, and you type FORCE, LOAD, the strategy selects all polygon faces named either FORCE or LOAD.You can use an asterisk () or dot (.) as a wildcard for one or more of the names. An asterisk represents multiple characters; a dot represents a single character. For example:To select all faces with names that begin with FORCE (such as FORCE, FORCES, and FORCE123) as well as all faces just named LOAD, type FORCE, LOAD.To select all faces named FORCE, FORCES, LOAD, or LOADS, but not faces named FORCE123 or LOAD123, type FORCE., LOAD..To use an asterisk or dot as a literal part of the name, you must precede that symbol with an at sign (@). For example, to select all faces named FORCE.1 or LOAD.1, you would type FORCE@.1, LOAD@.1.You can also use the Cut , Copy , and Paste commands to modify the text that appears in the list.If the same name is used more than once (such as FORCE, LOAD, FORCE), the duplicates are removed from the list after you click Apply or OK. This process is case-sensitive, so Force and FORCE would not be considered duplicates, but FORCE and FORCE would be.
