Beam to Beam Contact (Simcenter Samcef)

To define a contact between two regions made of beams, use the Beam to Beam Contact simulation object.

The Beam to Beam Contact dialog box defines a Samcef .MCT LINE 1 command.

Select the Show Ancillary Display check box to display the ancillary view of the contact constraint in the graphics window. The software launches the Samcef contact conditions quick solver to compute this view.

Supported analysis solutions

The Beam to Beam Contact simulation object is only available for the nonlinear static and modal structural Simcenter Samcef solutions.
