Local Resolution Constraint
Use the Local Resolution Constraint command to refine or coarsen surface wrap bodies in selected regions. The Local Resolution Constraint command together with the Contact Prevention Constraint and Auto Refinement Constraint commands allows you to preserve more detail in the surface wrap bodies that are generated by the surface wrapping tool, or remove unnecessary details from them.

You can specify the region that is affected by the local resolution constraint using one of the following:
Polygon geometry that you select in the associated surface wrap recipe.
2D elements and free faces of 3D elements that are not associated to polygon faces.
A bounding box for which you specify two diagonal points.
A bounding sphere for which you specify the center and the radius.
A selection recipe that contains the geometry or elements.
When you use local resolution on polygon geometry, the constraint affects the region in the proximity of the selected edges, faces, or body surfaces. When you use local resolution on elements, the constraint affects the region in the proximity of the selected element faces. When you define local resolution on a bounding volume, the constraint affects the region inside the volume.
You can also specify the priority level of the local resolution constraint with respect to other constraints when they are in conflict.
The software stores your specification for each local refinement constraint under the Local Resolution Container node in the Simulation Navigator. By default, each local refinement constraint node is numbered, but you can change its name.
To apply a selected local refinement constraint to a surface wrap recipe, drag its local refinement node from the Constraints Container node to the Constraints node that is located under the surface wrap recipe node.
