Multiphysics
Define coupled solution parameters
The Simcenter 3D Multiphysics coupled analyses link in all possible ways:
A structural solution from the Simcenter Nastran SOL 401 Multi-Step Nonlinear solver.
A thermal solution from a specialized version of the Simcenter 3D Thermal solver.
A flow solution from a specialized version of the Simcenter 3D Flow solver.
You set up these types of analysis using the options on the Solution dialog box.
In the Solution dialog box, select the Solution Control page.
Under the Coupled Control group, next to Coupled Solution Parameters, click Create Modeling Object .
Depending on the coupled analysis, define the options on the dialog box as described in:Thermal-Structural Coupled Solution Parameters dialog box (Multiphysics) for a Coupled Thermal-Structural analysis.Flow-Structural Coupled Solution Parameters dialog box (Multiphysics) for a Coupled Flow-Structural analysis.Thermal-Flow Coupled Solution Parameters dialog box (Multiphysics) for a Coupled Thermal-Flow analysis.Thermal-Flow-Structural Coupled Solution Parameters dialog box (Multiphysics) for a Coupled Thermal-Flow-Structural analysis.
