Define a Film Cooling constraint

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Film Cooling .The Film Cooling dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the graphics window, select polygon faces, 2D elements, or faces of 3D elements to define the convection region that is cooled by a fluid film.

  3. In the Film Reference Region group, click Select Object .

  4. In the graphics window, select polygon edges, curves, or 1D duct elements to define the film reference region.

  5. In the Convection Magnitude group, in the Convection Coefficient box, enter a value, an expression, or a field for the convection coefficient. The convection coefficient can vary in time and space.

  6. In the Film Effectiveness Magnitude group, in the Film Effectiveness Coefficient box, enter a value, an expression, or a field for the film effectiveness coefficient. The film effectiveness coefficient can vary in time and space.

  7. In the Free Stream group, in the Free Stream Temperature box, enter a value, an expression, or a time-varying field for the free stream temperature.

  8. Click OK.
