Define a surface for the Rigid-Flexible Simcenter Samcef contact
To define a general contact of a flexible surface to a rigid surface, use the Rigid-Flexible Contact simulation object. This example shows how to define a Cylinder with Flat Ends rigid surface.
Ensure that the Simcenter Samcef Simulation file is the work part and displayed part.
Open the Rigid Surface Contact Definition dialog box. You can do this two ways:From the Rigid-Flexible Contact dialog box. Choose Home tab→Simulation Objects Type group→Rigid-Flexible Contact. Then in the Rigid Surface Definition group, create a new Rigid Surface (SURF).From the Modeling Object Manager dialog box, select Rigid Surface Contact Definition from the Type list. Click Create.
In the Rigid Surface Contact Definition dialog box, from the Surface Type list, select Cylinder with Flat Ends.
Specify the cylinder geometric values:Height: defines the height (1) of the cylinder.Radius (1): defines the radius (2) of the cylinder.Radius (2): defines the fillet radius (3) of the cylinder.
Click OK.
For more information, see the rigid contact surface definition page in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.
