Input DDAM Coefficients dialog box
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Ship Type | The ship type (Surface or Submarine) specified on the Create Event dialog box. This value is displayed here for your reference. |
| Mounting Type | The location on the ship to which the component you are analyzing is mounted: Hull, Deck, or Shell Plating, as specified on the Create Event dialog box. This value is displayed here for your reference.Shell PlatingFor surface ships — Items mounted on the main structural members of the ship, including structural bulkheads and structural bulkhead stiffeners below the main deck, and shell plating above the waterline. For submarines — Items mounted on the main structural members of the ship, including structural bulkheads and structural bulkhead stiffeners.DeckFor surface ships — Items mounted on the main deck and above, and on decks, platforms, and non-structural bulkheads below the main deck. For submarines — Items mounted on decks, platforms, and non-structural bulkheads. |
| Loading Type | The directional loading type (Vertical, Athwart Ship, or Fore and Aft) in which the excitation will be applied, as specified on the Create DDAM Excitation dialog box. This value is displayed here for your reference. |
| Response Type | The deformation type of the excitation. This value is displayed here for your reference.Elastic — Design criteria applicable to equipment, foundations, or structures for which permanent deformation due to shock is not permitted.Elastic-Plastic — Design criteria applicable to equipment, foundations, or structures for which limited deformation due to shock is permitted. |
| Coefficient AF | The acceleration multiplier for the DDAM evaluation. The Coefficient AF and Coefficient VF are unitless multipliers for your proprietary DDAM shock coefficients, which are stored in the shock coefficients file (for more information, see Define multipliers to adjust the standard DDAM shock coefficients). For information about the DDAM reference functions used, see DDAM reference acceleration and velocity. |
| Coefficient VF | The velocity multiplier for the DDAM evaluation. |
