Revolve elements

  1. Choose Nodes and Elements tab→Elements group→Element Revolve .

  2. Select the elements to revolve.From the Selection Mode list, choose whether to revolve element edges or faces.Choose Edges to create 2D elements.Choose Faces to create 3D elements.Click Select Object to select the element edges or faces to revolve.

  3. Use the Number of Copies option to specify the total number of elements to revolve in succession from the selected element edges or faces.

  4. Specify the axis about which to revolve the selected element edges or faces.Use the Specify Vector options to specify the vector to use as the axis of revolution.Use the Specify Point options to specify the origin of the axis of revolution.Choose whether you want to specify the revolution angle in terms of the angle between individual adjacent copies (Per Copy) or as a total angle (Total) for all copies.Specify the angle to revolve the elements about the axis of revolution.

  5. Specify the mesh collector to which to assign the new elements.

  6. Choose whether to add the new elements to a new or existing mesh in the Simulation Navigator.

  7. (Optional) Specify the Label to use for the new node.

  8. Click OK or Apply.
