Laminate Dynamics

Filter modes with small modal effective mass

Use this procedure when your simulation file contains an active Simcenter Nastran SOL 103 Real Eigenvalues solution with Solution Process set to Laminate Dynamics.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the solution node and choose Edit.

  2. On the Case Control page, click Create Modeling Object , or click Edit if an output requests modeling object already exists.

  3. In the Structural Output Request dialog box, on the Modal Effective Mass page, select the Enable MEFFMASS Request check box.

  4. In the Threshold box, enter a threshold value. You can set a threshold value between 0.0 and 1.0.

  5. Click OK to close both dialog boxes.
