Managing results JT files in Teamcenter

Use the New JT File command in the Post Processing Navigator to generate JT files of results visualizations and automatically import them into Teamcenter directly from Pre/Post. JT files of results are created using the current default post view template.

By default, Pre/Post exports each JT file to a unique DirectModel dataset related to the corresponding CAEAnalysis revision in Teamcenter.

You can configure Simcenter 3D to import each generated JT file to single dataset per CAEAnalysis revision. This can reduce the number of datasets to manage and improve navigation in the Teamcenter client Viewer. You can change the default behavior by selecting the Aggregate Post JTs into One Dataset customer default.

Note:

If you use File→Export to generate a JT file of a post view, the resulting file is created on the local file system. If you use this command, you must create a DirectModel dataset and import the JT file to Teamcenter manually. See Exporting post views.

Where do I find it?

Generate and export results JTs to Teamcenter:

Application	Pre/Post
Prerequisite	Results loaded in the Post Processing Navigator.
Post Processing Navigator	Right-click a result component or derived result→New JT File.

Aggregate Post JTs into One Dataset customer default:

Menu	File→Utilities→Customer Defaults
Location in dialog box	Simulation→Pre/Post→General→Teamcenter tab→Aggregate Post JTs into One Dataset check box
