Modeling ducts and their walls with 1D elements
Use a Duct with Thick Walls type of 1D duct mesh collector to model duct flow with heat transfer across the duct walls.
Define a hollow cross section. The cross section determines the wall thickness.
Specify the cross section and the material of the wall in the duct mesh collector.
Note:
Ducts with thick walls only simulate the thermal resistance along the wall length. Therefore, the conductance through the wall thickness remains infinite.
