Edit selection recipe mapping

When you edit the representation of a component FEM, such as for a Mode Set or FRF Set, you can also edit the selection recipes. The selection recipes can be used for connections, loads, constraints, or mesh selection. This example shows you how to edit a node in a selection recipe that is used by a mode set.

1. In the Simulation Navigator, in the Mode Sets collector, right-click the mode set to edit and choose Edit Selection Recipes Mapping.

2. In the Edit Selection Recipes Mapping dialog box, to find a specific recipe, FEM, or node, right-click, choose Find, and do the following: Enter a search string.Click Close.

3. To change a node used in the connection from the existing node to a new node, in the Mode Set Node column, right-click the node and choose Edit.

4. In the Edit Node dialog box, select a node from the model in the graphics window, or enter the node label, and click OK.Label is the incremented label used in the assembly FEM after all label conflicts are resolved. When you change the label, the selection recipe maps to the internal node label that corresponds to it. Internal Label is the original node label in the component FEM, or alternate representation, before you resolve label conflicts using the Assembly Label Manager.In the Edit Selection Recipes Mapping dialog box, the selection recipe color in the table changes from black to red. If no node corresponds to the label, the recipe does not change and the selection recipe remains unresolved.

5. Click OK to close the Edit Selection Recipes Mapping dialog box.In the Universal Connections collector, the connection status is Not Realized.

6. To update the model and activate any selection recipe changes, choose Home tab→Context group→Update .In the Universal Connections collector, the connection status changes to Up-to-date.
