Define a simply supported constraint

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Simply Supported Constraint .

  2. In the Simply Supported Constraint dialog box, select Directed, Face Normal, or Edge Normal from the Type list.

  3. In the Model Objects group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to which the simply supported constraint will be applied.

  4. (Optional) For the Directed type, in the Direction group, select a vector that specifies the direction of the Z axis. See Vector dialog box for more information.
