Duplicating load case filtering calculations
In a load case filtering solution, you have the following options for duplicating an existing calculation:
The Clone command creates a single copy of a calculation. After you clone the calculation, you can then edit the copy to specify a different FE or geometric entity as the source for the calculation, change the load case set or values for calculation parameters, and so on.
The Copy command creates a single copy of a calculation. When you copy a calculation, you can edit the FE or geometric entity source for the calculation, the load case set, values for the calculation parameters, and so on, as you create the copy. Thus, if you create additional copies, each copy can have unique inputs.
For example, suppose that you want to filter on the most critical load cases for two 2D elements. You can choose one method and create a calculation for one of the elements. You can then clone the calculation. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the clone of the calculation and choose Edit. In the Calculation Editor dialog box, modify the existing source so that it points to the other element.
If you want to filter the most critical load cases for the same 2D elements using the same method, but you want to use a different tolerance value for each element, you can use the Copy command and specify the value for the tolerance as you create each copy.
