Restart dialog box (Abaqus)

Properties
Description Lets you specify an optional description for the modeling object.
Restart Request Parameters
Restart Frequency Controls how you define when the restart information should be written.IncrementsWrites restart information at specified increments.Time IntervalsWrites restart information at specified time intervals during the step.
Number Increments Appears when Restart Frequency is set to Increments.Specifies the increments at which Abaqus should write the restart information. For example, if you specify a value of 2, Abaqus writes the information at increments 2, 4, 6, etc.Note: For a direct cyclic analysis, the Number Increments option specifies the iteration numbers at which Abaqus writes the restart information. For a direct cyclic analysis, Abaqus only writes restart information at the end of an iteration.
Number Intervals Appears when Restart Frequency is set to Time Intervals.Specifies the number of intervals during the step at which you want Abaqus to write the restart information.
Exact Time Intervals Appears when Restart Frequency is set to Time Intervals.Select this option to write results at the exact times you specify in the Number Intervals box.
Retain Only One Increment (Overlay) Select this option to specify that Abaqus should retain restart information for only one increment per step. This minimizes the storage space required. When you select this option, each increment that Abaqus writes overlays the previous increment, if any, written for the same step.Clear this option to retain data for every increment.Note: Whether you select or clear this option, Abaqus always retains the restart information for the last increment in each step.
