Update a solution from condition sequence changes

When you change the conditions in a condition sequence, such as adding, modifying, and removing time points, you can then use the Update from Condition Sequence command to update the solution that was created by that condition sequence.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the solution and choose Update from Condition Sequence. If the solution type is a transient analysis, the Update from Condition Sequence dialog box appears. For other solution types, the solution is updated immediately and the Update from Condition Sequence dialog box does not appear.

  2. (Optional) In the Update from Condition Sequence dialog box, in the Transient Integration Options group, you can specify a method (Step Size or Number of Time Steps) and corresponding value to determine how the condition sequence time history information is translated into the time-dependent boundary conditions and time-step settings in the solution.

  3. Click OK to update the solution.
