Create a spectral attenuation report

You can request a spectral attenuation report only for a transient flow or coupled analysis.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Solution node, and choose Edit.

  2. In the Solution dialog box, click the Transient Setup node.

  3. Set the time step option to constant in one of these ways:ForSelectFromFlow analysisConstant****Time Step Option listCoupled analysisConstant****Flow Time Step Option listCoupled analysisSame as Thermal****Flow Time Step Option list if you selected Constant from the Thermal Time Step Option list

  4. Enter the value for the Time Step / Thermal Time Step / Flow Time Step.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Report from the Simulation Object list .

  7. In the Report dialog box, select Between Regions from the Type list.

  8. In the Primary Region group, click Select Object and select the region that has the emitted signal.

  9. In the Secondary Region group, click Select Object and select the region that has the received signal.

  10. In the 3D Flow Data group, select the Spectral Attenuation check box.

  11. Click OK.
