Vector and tensor results
The results calculated during a solve represent physical quantities. These results may be:
Scalar, such as pressure and temperature.
Vector, such as displacement and heat flux.
Tensor, such as stress and strain.
For scalar quantities, the results consist of a single component that is read directly from the solver results file.
For vector and tensor quantities, the results consist of multiple components that are read directly from the solver results file and invariant quantities that post-processing calculates.
Note:
In the documentation, invariant quantities are often referred to as derived results.
