Heat Load dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Thermal)

| Type | Appears for thermal analysis only.Specifies where you want to apply the heat load.Thermal Power on Nodes—Applies a heat load on nodes.Thermal Power on Elements and Element Faces—Applies a heat load on elements and 3D element faces.Thermal Power on 2D Element Faces—Applies a load heat on the top or bottom face of 2D thermal membranes. |

| Name | Sets the name of the load. |
| Description | Sets the description of the load. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Load Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition is stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Region | |
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the heat to a group.For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the geometry on which the boundary condition is applied. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Excluded | Lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object. |
| Magnitude or Properties | |
| Heat Load | Sets the heat load.For more information, see the FLUX or LOAD parameter of the Samcef .CLT command. |
| Position (FACE) | Appears when Type is set to Thermal Power on 2D Element Faces.Select Top of the Support to define the heat on the top faces of the support. Select Bottom of the Support for the bottom faces of the support. |
| Card Name | Displays the name of the solver card this object writes to: .CLT LOAD. |
