Define a pressure load normal to regions (Abaqus)

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Load Type list→Pressure .

  2. In the Pressure dialog box, from the type list, select Normal on Regions or On Axisymmetric Region (Normal to Edge) XY.

  3. In the Surface group, select the surface or surface regions, or click Create Region to create new surface regions.

  4. In the Magnitude group, do one of the following to specify the magnitude of the pressure load.Type a constant value. To use an expression to define the magnitude, select Expression. For more information, see Expressions. To define a magnitude that varies with frequency, time, or temperature, select Field. For more information, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions.

  5. Click OK.
