2D Dependent Mesh dialog box

Type
Type Lets you select type of dependent mesh to create.Choose General to create a dependent mesh between two selected surfaces. With the General type, surfaces must be topologically identical (have the same number of edges and curves) but may be uniformly scaled.Choose Symmetric to create a dependent mesh between two completely identical surfaces for a cyclic symmetry analysis. With this option, the surfaces must be identical.
Direction
Displacement CSYS Appears when you choose Symmetric from the Type list.Lets you choose the type of coordinate system to use to transform the nodes.Note: If you plan to use the Automatic Coupling command to define the model's boundary conditions, you should select the same coordinate system that you plan to use
Specify CSYS Click CSYS Dialog to use the CSYS dialog box to create the coordinate system. See CSYS dialog box for more information.Click to choose a coordinate system command to create the coordinate system.
Select Master and Target Face
Select Master Face Lets you select the independent face. When you mesh the master face, the software replicates the mesh from the master face on the target face.
Select Target Face Lets you select the dependent face.
Match Loops
Select Master Edge Lets you select an edge from the master face to establish edge correspondence and direction.
Select Target Edge Lets you select an edge from the target face to establish edge correspondence and direction.
Flip Direction Lets you change the direction of the displayed edge correspondence.
List Displays all of the loops (boundaries) in the selected master and target faces.
Mesh Type
Mesh Type Specifies the type of the resulting dependent mesh.Choose Free Mesh to generate a free mesh.Choose Mapped Mesh to generate a structured mesh.Choose Frozen Free Mesh if there is an existing free mesh on the master face.Choose Frozen Mapped Mesh if there is an existing mapped mesh on the master face.
