Label	Description
Nodal Results/Element Results	Specifies the method for selecting nodes or elements.Nodal Results, By Node IDs, and Nodes in Group appear when you are displaying nodal results. Element Results, By Element IDs, and Elements in Group appear when you are displaying elemental or element-nodal results.Pick from ModelLets you select nodes or elements in the graphics window.By Node IDs/By Element IDsLets you select nodes or elements by typing their label numbers.By Result RangeLets you specify a range of result values. All nodes or elements whose value falls within that range are selected.N Max Result ValuesLets you specify the number of nodes or elements to select. The software selects the specified number of nodes or elements with the highest values.N Min Result ValuesLets you specify the number of nodes or elements to select. The software selects the specified number of nodes or elements with the lowest values.Nodes in Group/Elements in GroupLets you select nodes or elements in a specified group or selection recipe.
Mark Selection	Specifies what to display in the graphics window for each selected node or element.Mark Result ValuesDisplays the result value.Mark IDsDisplays the label number.No MarksOmits any result values or IDs.
Boolean Operation	Uses the specified Boolean operation when performing multiple selections.Add to Selection Adds the result of applying the current selection method to any existing selection.Add to Selection and Delete Duplicate Pairs Adds any unique result of applying the current method, and deletes nodes or elements found by both methods.Deselect Removes the result of applying the current method from the existing selection.Select Only Not Already Selected Selects only those nodes or elements found by the current method not previously listed.Select Only Already Selected Selects only nodes or elements found by the current method that are already selected.
Pick	Appears when the selection method is set to Pick from Model.Specifies the method by which you can select entities in the graphics window.SingleLets you select individual nodes or elements in the graphics window.**Box (Visible)**Lets you drag a selection box to select nodes or elements that are visible in the model's current orientation in the graphics window. Nodes or elements that are hidden behind other post view elements are not selected.**Box (All)**Lets you drag a selection box to select nodes or elements. Nodes and elements that are hidden behind other post view elements are also selected.MeshLets you select an entire mesh. All nodes or elements in the mesh are selected.Feature FaceLets you select all nodes or elements located on a feature face.Feature EdgeLets you select all nodes or elements located on an edge.Polygon FaceAppears for results with an associated solution and CAD geometry. Does not appear for imported results. Lets you select all nodes or elements located on a polygon face.Polygon EdgeAppears for results with an associated solution and CAD geometry. Lets you select all nodes or elements located along a polygon edge.Note: To make it easier to select polygon edges, set the display to the Polygon Edge display, which displays only polygon edges. Dimension	Appears when the selection method is set to Pick from Model.Filters the allowable selections by element family: Any, 1D, 2D, or 3D.
Weighted Average	Appears when the selection method is set to Pick from Model and Pick is set to Mesh, Feature Face, Feature Edge, Polygon Edge, or Polygon Face.Displays the volume-weighted average for 3D mesh, area-weighted average for 2D mesh and face selections, and the length-weighted average for edge selections.
ID	Appears when the selection method is set to By Node IDs or By Element IDs.Sets the node or element ID to select.After you type the number, click Apply ID String to select the specified nodes or elements.
Below Above	Appears when the selection method is set to By Result Range.Sets the upper and/or lower limits of the result range.After you select the check box and type the value, click Apply Range to select all nodes or elements whose results match the specified range.
N =	Appears when the selection method is set to N Max Result Values or N Min Result Values.Type the number of nodes or elements to select, and then click Apply Number to select them.
Group	Appears when the selection method is set to Nodes in Group or Elements in Group.Specifies the group or selection recipe to use to select nodes or elements.Only groups or selection recipes that contain nodes and/or elements are listed.After you select the group or selection recipe, click Apply Group to select the nodes or elements
Selection	Displays the maximum, minimum, numerical sum, and averaged values for all selected nodes or elements.For single-node selection recipes, the selection recipe name also appears in the Node column.
Clear Highlights	Removes all result values and IDs from the graphics window, but not from the Selection box.To display that information again, select a different option from the Mark Selection list.
Clear Selection	Deselects all selected nodes or elements, and clears the Selection box.
Save Selection in Group	Stores the currently selected nodes or elements as a group.
List Selection in Information Window	Opens the Information window and displays a list of the selected nodes or elements, including their result values.For single-node selection recipes, the selection recipe name also appears to the left of the ID.For information about customizing the results in the Information window, see View and customize identified results in HTML format.
Create Field	Not available for Simcenter 3D Results Viewer.Opens the Create Table Field dialog box, where you can specify a name, domains, and values to create a results access field.
Export Selection to a File	Opens the Identify File Export dialog box, where you can specify output options and write the selection to a comma-separated values (CSV) file.
List Selection in Spreadsheet	Generates a list of result values for the selected nodes or elements, launches your spreadsheet application, and displays the information in the spreadsheet.
