Rupture material properties (Simcenter Samcef)
You can define a Rupture with Damage material by adding damage values to a classic elastic Samcef Orthotropic Structure material.
However, you cannot define any property in the Viscoplasticity pages of this material.
To define a Rupture with Damage material:
You define the elastic part of the material on the Mechanical page.
You define the stress and strain limits on the Strength page.
You define the damage options on the Damage page by selecting the Rupture with Damage model:Rupture with Damage propertyNotesParameter for Delay (ADEL), **Time for Delay (TAU)**αc and τc parameter of the delay law.Note: The Time for Delay (TAU) value is required.**Maximum Damage Value (DDEN)**To avoid a singular stiffness matrix when all the material is damaged, you can specify the maximum damage value the material can undergo. Default value = 0.999
The Rupture material in Simcenter Samcef will generate a .MAT BEHAV "PLYSRUPT" command.
For more information, see the rupture material page in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.
