Chaining a modal or standalone buckling analysis with a nonlinear analysis (Simcenter Samcef)

In the Simcenter Samcef solver environment, when you chain a solution B with a solution A, you do not need to set up any extra data in solution A to prepare the chaining, except in the following two chaining cases:

  • In a modal solution, when you select a Vibration modes around the instantaneous configuration chaining type, you chain the modal solution with a previous nonlinear one. You must select the Generate Output for Modal Analysis check box for the nonlinear solution. For more information, see Chain a nonlinear analysis with a modal analysis (Simcenter Samcef).

  • In a standalone buckling solution, when you select a Incremental Stability Analysis chaining type, you chain the standalone buckling solution with a previous nonlinear one. You must select the Generate Output for Standalone Buckling Analysis check box for the nonlinear solution.

Note:

You can find both features in the subcase options, Storage page, Chaining Parameters group of the Nonlinear solution.
