Force from External File dialog box

| Name | Sets the name of the force node. |
| Description | Sets the description for the force node. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Load Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |

| Group Reference | Lets you apply the force to a group.For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object Note: The graphic varies by Type. | Lets you select the geometry or FE entities on which the load will be applied. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Excluded | Lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object. |

| Select File | Lets you enter the path to an HDF5 result file. |
| Degrees of Freedom | Specifies whether to extract Translation, Rotation, or Translation and Rotation types of degrees of freedom from the external file. |
| Subcase | Lets you control the specification of a subcase in the result file.From Solution StepUses the subcase ID from the active solution step.SpecifyWhen you select this option, the Subcase ID option appears. |
| Subcase ID | Appears when Subcase is set to Specify.Lets you enter a specific subcase ID. |
| Forces Data Set | Appears when Degrees of Freedom is set to Translation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the forces data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Forces Data Set box. |
| Moments Data Set | Appears when Degrees of Freedom is set to Rotation or Translation and Rotation.Lets you enter the name of the moments data set. If you are not sure of the name, click Infer Data Set to infer the data set name from the file and populate the Moments Data Set box. |
| Infer Data Set | Infers the data set and populates it to the data set field. |
| Card Name | Displays the name of the solver card for the load. |
