Manage hotspot recipes

Delete a hotspot recipe

  1. Choose Results tab→ToolsMoreHotspot Recipe Manager.

  2. In the Hotspot Recipe Manager dialog box, select the hotspot recipe you want to delete and click Delete .

  3. Click OK.

Create a copy of a hotspot recipe

  1. Choose Results tab→ToolsMoreHotspot Recipe Manager.

  2. In the Hotspot Recipe Manager dialog box, select the hotspot recipe you want to copy and click Copy .

  3. In the Hotspot Recipe dialog box, make any changes. For more information, see the following:Create a hotspot recipe for a thresholdCreate a hotspot recipe for a range of valuesCreate a hotspot recipe for minimum or maximum results

  4. Click OK.

Edit a hotspot recipe

You can change the search criteria and the components defined for a hotspot recipe. You cannot change the search method or results type.

  1. Make the Simulation or FEM file the displayed and work part.

  2. Choose Results tab→ToolsMoreHotspot Recipe Manager.

  3. In the Hotspot Recipe Manager dialog box, select the hotspot you want to edit and click Edit .

  4. (Optional) Type a new name for the hotspot recipe.

  5. (Optional) Change the result component.

  6. (Optional) Edit the search criteria of the hotspot recipe, such as threshold values or the number of entities to include. You cannot change the type of search.For more information, see Hotspot Recipe dialog box.

  7. Click OK.

Display information about a hotspot recipe

  • In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the hotspot recipe or hotspot, and choose Information.

The Information window displays the name of the hotspot recipe. If you resolved hotspots from the recipe, the Information window also displays the number of hotspots resolved and a list of the hotspots. The list includes the name of the hotspot, the number of entities in it, and the most critical entity that met the threshold value (the threshold node) and its value.
