Local Analysis Results Stress dialog box
| Name-Description | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets a unique name for the parameter. |
| Label | Sets a unique integer for the parameter. The dialog box automatically displays the next available label number. However, you might want to change this if you use a particular series of numbers to identify certain types of parameters. |
| Description | Sets a description for the parameter. This description appears in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box only if you add the Description column to the list table. To do that, right-click the column heading row and choose Columns→Configure. In the Configure Columns dialog box, select the Description check box and then click OK. |
| Categorization | |
| Category | Sets the category name for this parameter. |
| Sub-Category | Sets the subcategory name for this parameter. The subcategory appears in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box only if you add the Sub-Category column to the list table. |
| Properties | |
| Elastic Tensor Results | |
| Stress Tensor | Creates elastic stress tensor results. Simcenter 3D projects the stresses read from the FEM into the coordinate system that you defined in the Computation Location dialog box. This may be the surface coordinate system or the absolute coordinate system one (when you select In Volume). For each time step, the scaling, superposition, etc. (as defined in the load event) is applied. If you use stress gradient correction, the correction is applied to the projected stress tensor. The resultant stress tensor history is saved and may be analyzed.Note: If you enter a series of plastic stresses in the case of a transient event, these plastic stresses are displayed. |
| Projections of Elastic Stress Tensor | |
| Strain Gage Direction | Creates elastic stress results projected in the strain gage directions. The solver calculates the projection based on the stress tensor as you defined in the Stress Tensor option. This option only applies if you selected a strain gage as the Location of the Function Definition. |
| Local Stress State Directions | Creates elastic stress results projected in local stress state directions. The solver calculates the projection based on the stress tensor as you defined in the Stress Tensor option. This option applies only if you selected nodes or elements as the Location of the Function Definition. |
| Stresses in Projection Directions | |
| Strain Gage Direction | Creates stress results used in the damage evaluation projected in the directions you specified by the stain gage. In strain life analysis these are the stresses after applying the plastic correction as you defined in the Load Notch Strain Relation simulation object. This option only applies if you selected a strain gage as the Location of the Function Definition. |
| Local Stress State Directions | Creates stress results used in the damage evaluation projected in the directions you specified by the Local Stress State. In strain life analysis these are the stresses after applying the plastic correction as defined in the Load Notch Strain Relation simulation object. This option only applies if you selected nodes or elements as the Location of the Function Definition. |
