Test analysis reference solution
Use the Test Analysis Reference Solution command to combine mode shapes from an existing normal modes solution with a wireframe, to visualize the shapes on the simplified version of the model.
Mode shapes from an existing normal modes solution that form a wireframe
Create a test analysis reference solution
You can create a test analysis reference solution from:
A pre-test solution process and sensor and exciter configurations.
A normal modes solution and a DOF set.
After it is created, you cannot update the solution even if the DOF sets or solver modes are out of date. You must create a new test analysis reference solution.
When you create a test analysis reference solution, the software automatically creates a node in the Simulation Navigator panel. The Test Analysis Reference Solution node contains the initial mode shape sensor set and mode shape results.

Export a test analysis reference solution
You can export the Test Analysis Reference Solution to an UNV file for use in Simcenter Testlab or a third-party modal test software, or to a SC2TL file for use in Simcenter Testlab.
When exporting a Test Analysis Reference Solution, three types of nodes are written to the UNV or SC2TL files: sensor, exciter, and visualization nodes. Visualization nodes are referenced by wireframe elements or unattached nodes, which are not sensor or exciter nodes. In the SC2TL file, they are included in a component called VISU.
The solver identifies duplicate sensor and exciter nodes, and prevents potential conflicts due to different DOFs and displacement coordinate systems by creating new exciter nodes with different IDs and associated modes data. In the SC2TL file, the exporter creates a new component for each exciter, identifying the excitation DOFs. In the UNV file, the exporter creates a group for each duplicated exciter node, containing its ID and the ID of the sensor node.
Where do I find it?

|---|---|
| Prerequisite | A pre-test solution process with one or more solved sensor and, optionally, exciter configurations, or a modal correlation solution process |
