Import universal connections using xMCF
Make the FEM file the work part and the displayed part.Note: If you are importing both universal connections and durability welds, make the Simulation file the work part and the displayed part.
Choose Home tab→Universal Connections group→Import Connections .
In the Connection Import dialog box, click Browse to navigate to the XML file you want to import.
In the Input File Units group, select the units you want to use, and click Select Folder to select where in the Universal Connections container you want to place the imported connections.Note: If you are importing spot weld connections, select how you want the spot weld height to be determined.For more information, see Connection Import dialog box.
Click OK.
Assign a material property to an imported connection
After importing a universal connection, you must edit the connection and assign a material property before you can realize (mesh) the connection.
In the Simulation Navigator, under the Universal Connections container, edit the connection in one of the following ways:Double-click the connection.Right-click the connection and choose Edit.
In the corresponding connection dialog box, do the following:Click the Physicals tab.Click Select Material .In the Material List dialog box, select an existing property from the Materials list or click Create to create a new property.Click OK to close the Material List dialog box.Click OK to close the corresponding connection dialog box.
