Export of Nastran parameters

Because you can include parameters in your Nastran input file in multiple ways, the software uses the following order of precedence when you export or solve a Nastran input file that contains duplicate parameter entries:

  1. Hardcoded parameters

  2. Parameters that correspond to options in the Solution dialog box

  3. Parameters defined with the Additional Parameters option in the Customer Defaults dialog box

  4. Parameters defined using the options in the Solution Parameters modeling object dialog box

  5. Parameters specified using the User Defined section in the Solution Parameters modeling object dialog box

Parameters that correspond to solution options

Some of the options in the Solution dialog box correspond to Nastran parameters. If you select one of those options, the software writes out the corresponding parameter in your input file when you export or solve your model. Except where noted, the options are located on the Parameters page in the Solution dialog box.
