Stacking recipe
This table lists the predefined stacking sequence options for the Stacking Recipe list. On the Simulation→Pre/Post→Laminate Modeling→General tab in the Customer Defaults dialog box, the Stacking Recipe default can be set to specify the predefined stacking sequence to follow your company standards and to best suit your analyses.
| Regular | Produces a ply sequence identical to what is shown in the ply layup list. No changes to the stacking sequence are made. | |
|---|---|---|
| Symmetric | Produces a symmetric ply sequence with an even number of plies. Note: In order to have a fully symmetric laminate, make sure that the reference plane is located in the middle of your laminate. | |
| Symmetric with Core | Produces a symmetric ply sequence with an odd number of plies. The odd ply represents the central core. The core is assumed to be the top ply in the ply layup list.Note: In order to have a fully symmetric laminate, make sure that the reference plane is located in the middle of your laminate. | |
| Repeated | Produces a duplicate ply sequence. The laminate contains two copies of the ply layup list, each in the same order as the original, and one of top of the other.Note: This recipe works on the ply layup list in the same way as the Copy and Paste commands. | |
| Repeated with Core | Is similar to the Repeated option, except that the top ply in the ply layup list is the core and is not repeated. | |
| Inherited from layup | Means that the contents of the laminate physical property table are ignored, except for the solver properties and laminate properties groups. Select this recipe for the ply-based process. | |
| Extruded | Specifies that the ply sequence is obtained by the extrusion of the global layup. |
