Node Automatic Association dialog box
Associate Nodes tab options
| Nodes | |
|---|---|
| Select Mesh | Lets you select the nodes to associate to the polygon geometry. |
| Body | |
| Select Body | Lets you select the body to which to associate the selected nodes. |
| Association Tolerance | |
| Distance < | Lets you specify the distance tolerance that the software uses to determine whether to associate a node to the selected body.If the distance between a node and a vertex, edge, curve, or face on the geometry is less than this distance, the software associates the node.If the distance between a node and a vertex, edge, curve, or face on the geometry is greater than this distance, the software does not associate the node. |
| Edge to Element Edge Angle < | Lets you specify the maximum angle allowed between a node that is connected to an element edge and a geometric edge or curve. If the angle between the element edge connected to a node and the geometric edge is greater than this value, the software does not associate the node to that edge. |
Display Association tab options
| Partially Associated Elements | |
|---|---|
| Select Elements | Lets you select the elements that you want to check to see whether they have any partially associated nodes. The software checks whether all an element's connected nodes lie on the same geometry, or on the children of that geometry. If they do not, then the software identifies the element as being partially associated to the geometry. |
| Partial Element Color | Lets you select the color to use to display elements that have nodes that are partially associated to the geometry. |
| Show | Displays the elements that have nodes that are partially associated to the geometry. |
| Orphan Nodes | |
| Displays external nodes that are not associated to any geometry. | |
| Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are not associated to any geometry. |
| Color | Lets you select the color to use to display nodes that are not associated to any geometry. |
| Show | Displays the orphan nodes. |
| Associated Nodes | |
| Select Geometry | Lets you select the geometry for which you want to display the associated nodes. For example, if you select a body, the software highlights all nodes that are associated to the edges and faces of the body in the colors you select. |
| Edge Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Edge Node Color | Lets you select the type of marker to use to indicate the nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Face Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to faces. |
| Face Node Color | Lets you select the color to use to display nodes that are associated to faces. |
| Curve Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to curves. |
| Curve Node Color | Lets you select the type of marker to use to indicate the nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Show | Displays the nodes that are associated to the geometry. |
| Geometry without Nodes | |
| Show Edges | Displays edges that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Show Faces | Displays faces that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Edge/Face Color | Lets you select the color to use to display edges or faces that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Refresh Display | Clears all temporary graphics and colors from the display. |
