Create a DOF set that match the test sensors

In the following procedure, a Initial Sensors [30] node is used as an example. The number 30 in the square brackets indicates that the test solution contains 30 sensors.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Initial Sensors [30] node under Mode Sensor Sets solution and choose Create DOF Set.

  2. In the Create DOF Set dialog box, do one of the following:Click OK to modify the displacement coordinate system of each matching node in the DOF set to match the sensor coordinate system. This may cause the stiffness matrix of your FEM to be affected.Click Create DOF Set Only to modify node displacement coordinate systems only.Under the Solver Sets node, a new DOF set is created with the default name of 1 - Created from SensorSet 'Initial Sensors'. The created DOF set matches the current node map and sensor DOF settings. Sensor DOFs are mapped to analysis DOFs of the same axis direction. Any inconsistencies, such as incompatible coordinate systems, are displayed in the Information window. Solver Sets 1 - Created from SensorSet 'Initial Sensors'

  3. (Optional) To rename the created DOF set to something meaningful, right-click 1 - Created from SensorSet 'Initial Sensors', choose Rename and type the new name.

For more information, see DOF sets.
