Plot mode shapes of the work and reference solutions
This example shows how to plot the mode shapes of an active correlation solution process.
Open the Plot Mode Shapes dialog box in one of the following ways:From the main graphic window:Choose Correlation tab→Correlation group→Plot MAC .In the Viewport dialog box, do one of the following:To plot the 2D matrix plot in the main graphic window, click Select Viewport by Cursor , and then click in the graphics window. To plot the 2D matrix plot in a separate graphic window, click Create New Window .Right-click in the graphics window and choose Probing Mode→SingleXY.Right-click a matrix cell in the Graph Window and choose Plot Mode Shapes. From the Correlation Details View subpanel:In the Simulation Navigator, select the Mode Pairs node.In the Correlation Details View subpanel, right-click any pair and select Plot Mode Shapes.
From the Layout group, select either Side-By-Side or Overlay to specify how reference and work mode shapes are displayed in the graphics window.
From the Display group, select one of the following ways to display mode shape results.Display to display the mode shapes in the graphics window.Animation to animate the mode shape results in the graphics window.Note: Only available for a structural shape correlation solution process.
Select the Save Frames In Memory check box to save the number of animation frame produced.
From the Work Model Display group, select one of the following ways to display the work mode shapes in the graphics window:Work Model Mesh to view the work mode shapes using the work model mesh.Wireframe to view the work mode shapes using the test model wireframe mapped to the work model nodes.
In the Complex Options group, from the Complex list, select one of the following methods to display the complex reference and work mode shapes:Amplitude to view the absolute value of the magnitude of the complex results.Signed Amplitude to view the positive or negative value of the magnitude of the complex results.Real to view the real part of the complex results.Imaginary to view the imaginary part of the complex results. At Phase Angle to view the value of complex results at the phase angle you specify in the Offset Phase box, or computed value when you click Compute Phase.
Click OK.Mode shape of the reference solution****Mode shape of the work solution
