Filtering and sorting the objects in the Post Processing Navigator
You can control which objects are listed in the Post Processing Navigator for a post view or template and in what order. Being able to control the objects that are listed helps shorten the list in the Post Processing Navigator so you do not have to scroll, lets you quickly find entities, such as templates or annotations, and allows you to focus on the objects you really need.
You can:
Use wildcards to filter the groups, FEMs, assembly FEMs, superelements, meshes, coordinate systems, annotations, and templates you want displayed.
Sort the objects by name, material, physical property, label, and so on, depending on the object type.
A Filter column in the Post Processing Navigator indicates the filters that you have applied or the type of sorting. The following shows that the annotations are sorted by name and that a filter is set for groups. The filter displays only those groups named Weld and Seal Meshes. No other filters or sorting are set.
Examples of filtering objects
To list only RBE2 collectors in the Post Processing Navigator:
In the Post Processing Navigator, under Post View 1, right-click 1D Elements and choose Filter→Wildcard.
In the Wildcard box, type RBE2 and click OK.
Examples of sorting objects
To sort the following 1D elements from imported results in the Post Processing Navigator alphabetical by name:
- In the Post Processing Navigator, under Post View 1, right-click 1D Elements and choose Sort→By Name. The Post Processing Navigator sorts the elements by their name.
To sort the following 3D elements by material ID:
- In the Post Processing Navigator, under Post View 1, right-click 2D Elements and choose Sort→By Material. The Post Processing Navigator sorts the elements by their material ID.
