Create a hotspot recipe for a threshold
You can base the hotspot recipe on the results in the current post view or on any type of results.
Depending on how you want to specify the type of results, do one of the following:To base the hotspot recipe on the results in the current post view:Set up a post view. In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the post view node and choose New Hotspot Recipe. To base the hotspot recipe on any type of results: Choose Results tab→Tools→More→Hotspot Recipe Manager.In the Hotspot Recipe Manager dialog box, click New .
Type a name for the hotspot recipe.
If you are basing the hotspot recipe on any type of results, select the type of results.
From the Search Method list, select Threshold.
From the Threshold Type list, select the type of threshold, either a maximum or minimum offset (in MKS units) or a maximum or minimum factor applied to the threshold value. For more information, see Search methods for finding hotspots.
In the Threshold Value box, type the threshold value above or below which results should be included in the hotspot.
In the Offset/Factor box, type the following depending on the type of threshold you selected:It you selected a maximum or minimum offset, type the offset from which a result can be from the threshold value in the Threshold Value box.If you selected a maximum or minimum factor, type the factor by which to multiply the threshold value in the Threshold Value box.
In the Minimum Span of Hotspot and Maximum Span of Hotspot box, type the minimum and maximum size of the hotspot.
In the Maximum Number of Hotspots box, type the number of hotspots to find.
To restrict the scope of the hotspot to only selected entities, select the Create Recipe from Selected Entities check box and do one of the following:To select entities from the graphics window, click Select Object and select the entities.To specify the entity IDs, type the entity IDs in the box and click Apply ID String to select the specified entities. You can type IDs one at a time, or as a space-delimited list.
Click OK.
