The options on the Arrow Display Settings dialog box also appear on the Display tab of the Post View dialog box.

Option Description
Type Appears for spring-dashpot and beam resultants.Specifies the type of component to display, either forces or moments.
Component Display Lets you specify which components of the vector result to display as arrows. You can display more than one component simultaneously. The components available depend on the type of result and the coordinate system selected. The following explains common components. XDisplays components in the X direction. YDisplays components in the Y direction. ZDisplays components in the Z direction. MagnitudeDisplays arrows as magnitude vectors, representing the direction and magnitude of the sum of the X, Y, and Z components. ResultantDisplays the resultant vector of two components in the XY, YZ, or ZX directions.
Display Component Label Displays the label for each component of the vector result.
Display Numeric Value Displays the value for each component of the vector result.
Display at Centroid Appears for nodal force reports with sum resultants calculated when the Add all Forces and Moments check box in the Nodal Force Report dialog box is selected. Displays the results at the centroid of the nodes that comprise the nodal force report. If the Display at Centroid check box is not selected, the results are displayed at the reference point, if specified, or the origin.
Hide Marks Below Hides all marks below a specified threshold. From the list that appears when you select the Hide marks below check box, select a percentage of the result or a results value. Type the percentage or the results value in model units in the box.
Size by (markers) Specifies the relative size of markers.ResultScales the size of markers relative to the results value at each location. Enter the maximum marker size as a percentage of the model or as a constant value in model units.SpecifiedSpecifies the size of all markers. Enter the marker size as a percentage of the model or as a constant value in model units.
Scale Type the marker size as a percentage of the model or as a constant value in model units.
Color Specifies the mark color. Choose from the following:ColorbarMatches the color of each mark to the corresponding value on the color bar.Text ColorMatches the color of all marks or streamlines to the display text for the post view.SpecifiedLets you choose the color from the color palette.
