Objective Specification dialog box
| Option | Description |

| Type | Controls the type of objective to specify for laminate optimization.Select Total Mass when you want to optimize the mass of the laminate. See Laminate plate geometric properties for more informationSelect Buckling Factor when you want to optimize the first buckling eigenvalue of a laminate under arbitrary loading condition. If you select this type you must also specify at least one load case. See Loadcase Specification dialog box for more information.Select X Young's Modulus when you want to optimize the equivalent laminate membrane Young's modulus in the X direction. See Computation of equivalent engineering properties for more information.Select Y Young's Modulus when you want to optimize the equivalent laminate membrane Young's modulus in the Y direction. See Computation of equivalent engineering properties for more information.Select XY Shear Modulus when you want to optimize the equivalent laminate membrane shear modulus in the XY direction.
