Solving a Simcenter Samcef mapping solution
With a Mapping solution type, you use results from a previously computed thermal analysis and map them as thermal loads on zones of a structural model. The thermal and structural meshes can be dissimilar.
When solved, the mapping solution creates two types of results files:
The _it3.txt text file is a classic Simcenter Samcef bank file. It contains the mapped thermal results in the form of nodal time-dependent .CLT entries for Temperature, Degree Of Cure Glass Transition Temperature thermal results. The following is an example of the file contents:.CLT TFX NOEUD I 1 VALEUR 2.00000000E+01 TIME 2.00000000E+00 TFX NOEUD I 2 VALEUR 2.00000000E+01 TIME 2.00000000E+00 ...This file is referenced in a new structural solution that chains with the mapping one and uses these mapped results data as thermal loads. For more details, see Chain a new structural solution with a mapping solution (Simcenter Samcef)
A .des/.fac pair of files that you can use in the Post Processing Navigator to view the mapping results on the structural model. You can display the mapped nodal Temperature, and also the mapped Degree Of Cure and Glass Transition Temperature element results.
Note:
The mapped Degree Of Cure and Glass Transition Temperature results are automatically generated if the reference thermal solution model contains Curing materials.
