Conflict Resolution Manager dialog box
Use the Conflict Resolution Manager dialog box to specify which option to use to resolve the conflicting boundary conditions. For each item in the Conflicting BCs list, right-click the boundary condition and select the option to use to resolve the conflict. The software only displays options that are valid for the selected conflict.

| Right-click options | Apply boundary condition(1): Applies the values of boundary condition (1) to the degree-of-freedom (DOF). The software also updates the Excluded list for boundary condition (2) to exclude the DOF from the boundary condition.Apply boundary condition(2): Applies the values of boundary condition (2) to the DOF. The software also updates the Excluded list for boundary condition (1) to exclude the DOF from the boundary condition.Average Values: Lets you create a new boundary condition at the conflicting DOF with a value that is the average of the DOF values of the conflicting boundary conditions. The software also updates the Excluded lists for each of the conflicting boundary conditions to exclude the DOF from the boundary condition.Add Values: Lets you create a new boundary condition at the conflicting DOF with a value that is the sum of the DOF values of the conflicting boundary conditions. The software also updates the Excluded lists for each of the conflicting boundary conditions to exclude the DOF from the boundary condition.Specify Values: Lets you specify new values at the DOF. With this option, the software creates a new boundary condition with the values you specify. The software also updates the Excluded lists for each of the conflicting boundary conditions to exclude the DOF from the boundary condition.Keep Overlapping: Retains the intersecting boundary conditions. This option is helpful for cases when the degrees of freedom affected by two intersecting boundary conditions are not actually in conflict. For example, in the Nastran environment, you can have both a Fixed Displacement Constraint and an Enforced Displacement Constraint defined on the same DOF. |
