Per Element options
| Region | |
|---|---|
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the report region to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the report region.Element Selection Filtering lets you limit your element selection to the FE entity you select from the Filter Type list:Elements lets you select any element type in a single selection.Element Edges lets you select 1D elements, the edges of 2D, or 3D elements.Element Faces lets you select 2D elements or the faces of 3D elements.Caution: You must select Element from the main selection Type Filter list to use the Element Selection Filtering options.Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within your selected object. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Region Override | |
| Override Region | Overrides the region with a non-geometric element.Non-Geometric ElementProcesses and reports thermal data for the non-geometric element. Select an existing non-geometric element modeling object from the list, or click Create Modeling Object to create a non-geometric element. |
| Thermal Data | |
| Temperature | Lists the element temperature. |
| Heat Flow | Lists the total heat load from all sources. |
| Cumulative Absorbed Heat | Lists the net heat flow into each element from the beginning of a transient analysis. |
| Capacitance | Lists the element capacitance. |
| View Factors | Lists the view factors from each element to every other element. |
| Time Constant (RC Product) | Lists the element thermal time constant. |
| Heat Balance | For each element, lists all attached conductances, the ID labels and temperatures of the connected elements, the heat flowing through each conductance, and the overall heat balance for the element. |
| Phase Change Quality | Lists the element phase change quality factor. |
| Duct Flow Data | |
| Velocity | Lists the fluid velocity of the element. |
| Total Pressure | Lists the total pressure at the element. |
| Through Mass Flow | Lists the mass that passes through the duct element. |
| Temperature | Lists the fluid temperature. |
| Heat and Mass Balance | In tabular format, lists all attached conductances, the labels and temperatures of the connected elements, the heat flowing through each conductance, and the overall heat balance for the element, flow resistances, velocity, Reynold's Number, static, dynamic, and total pressure, density, mass flow, and buoyancy force. |
| Shell Layers | |
| Apply Report to | Specifies on which side of 2D shell elements you want to calculate thermal results. The results are calculated on the following sides of 2D shell elements:Top and BottomTopBottom |
